Instra Ingenieros has developed the complete project, including the detailed engineering of the entire production process in coordination with the different suppliers, of the new factory that Conservas Cerqueira S.A. is going to build in the industrial estate of Rianxo. Instra will also be responsible for the site management.
In this project a very thorough investigation has been carried out for the recycling and use of the different process waters, as well as all the heat generation that is produced, seeking to minimise the environmental and energy impact as much as possible.
The architectural project has been developed using BIM methodology, by means of the Revit tool, which has made it possible to integrate the decision-making process under a 3D model that contains all the information updated in real time, improving the vision of the project as a whole and avoiding possible errors, from the earthworks to future phases of use and/or extension of the factory, including the integration of the installations, both of the building itself and of the production process. This has facilitated communication with the client, as well as with the different agents involved both in the project and tender phase and in the next construction process.
The factory consists of some 18,000m2 built on 3 floors: the basement, where the entire water treatment process is located; the ground floor where there will be production, storage in racks, automated and frozen storage, as well as changing rooms and the main access and the first floor, where more warehouses necessary for the process are located, as well as the canteen and the main offices. The entire plot is being developed, where a WWTPI, water tanks and fire protection installations will be located, as well as the parking spaces required by the regulations.
Work has already begun and production is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2023.
The company in charge of the construction is CIVIS GLOBAL S.A.
