INSTRA JOINS ALIANZA GALEGA POLO CLIMA (THE GALICIAN ALLIANCE FOR THE CLIMATE)

Instra Ingenieros joins Alianza Galega polo Clima, an initiative promoted by the Xunta de Galicia, with the aim of involving the Galician business community in the fight against climate change.

The Alianza Galega polo Clima is an initiative that advocates the search for common and coordinated measures that generate synergies in climate action in Galicia. This alliance includes companies, professional associations and trade unions, as well as environmental organisations, civil society organisations and public administrations willing to make a commitment and contribute their experience to make progress in improving the environment, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.

The objectives of this alliance are:

• To advocate for the commitment to Climate Action of the different organisations that will make up the Alliance.
• To visualise the commitment of Galician organisations to Climate Action.
• To define the prioritisation of common strategies and initiatives (synergy/coordination) to solve the main environmental problems in Galicia.
• Promote initiatives to improve the environmental sustainability practices of organisations and the systematic exchange of these good practices.
• Carry out public recognition of involvement in improving the environment.
• Identify the factors, knowledge and management gaps that prevent organisations and entities from taking Climate Action and environmental sustainability.
• To offer tools to small and medium-sized companies and local entities so that they can actively join the Alliance and improve the environment of their processes.
