INSTRA PRESENTS ITS TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS FOR THE WIND ENERGY SECTOR AT WINDENERGY HAMBURG

From 22 to 25 September, INSTRA will be taking part in WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, one of the leading international events in the wind energy industry, where it will present MAKEMAKE and FDS, two technological solutions developed to address various challenges associated with the operation, safety and sustainability of wind turbines.

MAKEMAKE is a bird detection, monitoring and anti-collision system based on image recognition and artificial intelligence. Using a network of cameras with 360° coverage and video processing powered by AI@Edge technology, the system detects and tracks birds in real time, classifies families and species, and generates alerts when birds are detected.

Its integration with wind turbine control and O&M systems allows its operation to be tailored to the characteristics and needs of each installation, helping to reconcile bird protection with the efficient operation of wind farms. The system also incorporates data monitoring and analysis tools that facilitate the tracking of the impact on birdlife and the preparation of reports associated with environmental monitoring plans.

Meanwhile, FDS (Fire Detection System) is a solution designed and manufactured by INSTRA for the remote detection and monitoring of fires in wind turbines, specifically designed for installations operating in low-temperature conditions.

INSTRA develops FDS solutions tailored to the needs of each project, ranging from 2D and 3D design through to manufacturing, integration with the wind turbine control system, logistics and international supply to the factory.

Our presence at WindEnergy Hamburg will enable us to showcase both technologies to professionals and companies in the international wind energy industry, as well as to share knowledge and gain first-hand insight into the sector’s new challenges.

With developments such as MAKEMAKE and FDS, INSTRA continues to build on its commitment to applying engineering, digitalisation and technological innovation to the real needs of the wind energy industry.
