Instra Ingenieros has developed the project and construction management of a storage warehouse for the La Vida es Chula family office located in the Ca n'Alemany industrial estate in Viladecans.
The building has a total of 35,000m² built on a plot of about 25,000m². The constructed area is distributed in the basement, one part dedicated to parking and the other to freight forwarding, a ground floor of about 17,000m² and two mezzanines, totaling about 4,200m², dedicated to storage and various services. As the end user is a pharmaceutical storage and distribution company, Alliance Healthcare, the entire warehouse space is climate controlled and temperature controlled.
It also has an office building of about 5,000m², distributed over B+4 floors with terraces on all floors. The project and construction have been adapted to the needs of the end user.
For the facade of the office building, the architecture studio @TurullSorensen has collaborated, making it a new benchmark in Viladecans and on the C-32 motorway.
Environmentally, it has been designed and built to obtain LEED Gold v.4 certification.
The construction in general has been carried out by the company @Construcía S.L. and the facade of the office building by @Acieroid S.A.
The construction period has been 12 months, despite the difficulties generated by the pandemic, in which early access has been achieved for the tenant 8 months from the start of the work, thus allowing anticipation of the works of the assembly of logistics and advance the date of entry into operation of the warehouse.
