Spain seeks to lead the green hydrogen market

In line with what was announced last month in the Hydrogen Roadmap of the Government of Spain, where a 4GW production target is set in 2030, last week the President of the Government attended with 4 other Ministers from his Council to the event "Renewable Hydrogen: an opportunity for Spain". The event, organized by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO), has served to show the strong institutional commitment of Spain with the development and implementation of technology to produce green hydrogen, and the start of a technological career, of investment and implementation, in which Spain has shown itself to be one of the most active countries, and which has provided more definition in its already mentioned Roadmap.

The event was also attended by representatives of private companies that have already published their action plans for the start of construction of plants for the production of green H2, so that in the conglomerate both the public and private sectors seem to coincide at the right time to carry out an implementation of this technology, and its potential in the energy network in Spain and the EU in the coming years.

This investment challenge will be accompanied by a whole battery of studies and engineering reports that will serve to justify, validate and model these facilities, from now its preliminary phase until its entry into Commercial Operation. It is a great opportunity for companies like INSTRA, which have already begun to carry out studies with this technology, and that in the future aspire to collaborate in the achievement of an ambitious goal with great positive impact on the environment.

At INSTRA we are specialists in jobs as a global energy consultancy. Every day we update our portfolio of services to meet the new demands of the market, to which are added green hydrogen generation plants. INSTRA's services as an energy consultancy cover the entire life cycle of projects, from greenfield to ready to build, as well as supervision and commissioning via our PMO office.
