The electrification and decarbonisation of the economy is a priority objective in the fight against climate change and in the security of energy supply in Spain and the EU.
In the last three years, Instra's Energy Division team has participated in renewable energy projects involving more than 2 GW of power, providing different value-added services and tackling the most complex technologies:
- Engineering services for site selection and offshore wind projects: more than 100 MW in Spain.
- Complete engineering services for greenfield development of high-power wind and photovoltaic technology projects: more than 1 GW in Spain.
- Engineering services for hybridisation projects with wind, PV and batteries: more than 500 MW in Spain.
- Property engineering services for the construction of PV plants and wind farms: more than 500 MW in Spain and Colombia.
- Engineering services for processing and development of self-consumption projects in industrial environments with wind and photovoltaic: more than 50 MW in Spain.
- Engineering services for offshore and onshore wind turbine manufacturers in the site selection of prototypes, design and commissioning of wind turbine auxiliary systems.
The implementation and commissioning of these projects will generate more than 4,500 GWh per year of renewable electricity with zero emissions, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of more than 1.2 million Spanish households.
